Dr. Theresa Hernandez serves as the Regional Literacy Coordinator at Educational Service District 105. Her career journey in education began as a bilingual paraprofessional in 1999, leading to diverse roles including elementary, middle, and high school teaching, instructional coaching, and educational consulting. Committed to the mission of "changing lives & legacies through literacy," Dr. Hernandez holds National Board Certification in English Language Arts and teaching endorsements in Elementary Education (grades K-8), Spanish (grades 4-12), and English as a Second Language (grades K-12). She is dedicated to fostering an anti-racist environment and ensuring equitable, joyful educational experiences where every student's voice is valued. Outside of work, Dr. Hernandez enjoys hiking with friends and family and exploring DIY crafts discovered on Pinterest.
